A
log staircase with log railings is a low-cost main focal point for
entries, greatrooms or to the lower levels. Our staircases have been
called works of art by many customers. Designing and building with
stringent specifications they are the strongest, very well built you
will find anywhere
Complemented with one of our railing systems of traditional
log-twig or Rustic Rail you will have a work of art that will be
cherished for generations.
Wood species most common are pine and cedar although we
have used a variety of materials from reclaimed timbers to
hardwoods. Some customers even come to our site and hand pick
their stringers and treads. Exterior staircases are only
available in western red or northern white cedars. Using a
combination of wood species for the stringers and treads creates
a very unique staircase.
Three styles are available:
~ Half log side stringers
~ Whole log bottom stringers
~ Spirals
A combination of these used in conjunction with a landing
made from log or timber is commonly done also.
